Kia ora te whānau,

I hope you’re all well and enjoying being back in the Dalefield fold this term. It’scertainly great seeing you all enjoying the new drop off and pick up area. Note: There are a few additions and confirmations to the What’s on below.

New student

I warmly welcome Lucas Davis to Dalefield School. Lucas started yesterday in Whetūand I know he is going to love it here.

Fun times mixing it up at Dalefield School. The students swapping classes to try out lots of different art-based activities.

Pick up time

With the new parking area and the extra parking space, we are going back to the non-staggered finish at the end of the day (from next Monday).  What this means is that school will finish for all students at 3:00 pm.

Dalefield School Cross-country 19 May

This is always a much anticipated and fun event.  Last year we were able to have all parents attending come back over to school for some kai and a drink following (we hold the event on Ross Percy’s paddock on the other side of Thomas Road).  This year we are going to run a sausage sizzle following the event and all whānau are invited.  We will not be having the school lunches this day.

The event will be held at 12:00pm with the sausage sizzle from 12:45pm. Further details and information will be coming via HERO.

Funds raised will contribute towards a planned overnight stay in Wellington for our Year 7/8 students (as part of the young leaders’ day).

A blast from the past - 2021!

School Hangi 22 June

This is going to be an amazing event on the Dalefield calendar and we are super-excited about it!  Planning is underway and next week you will receive from Lisa, an order form.  In the meantime if anyone has any contacts for meat etc. this would be appreciated.  Again, there will be updates via HERO.

Funds raised here will be contributing to the playground redevelopment.

Our School’s Vision

Here is a copy of the strategic and annual plan for our school.  This gives a clear outline as to the direction we are taking and articulates the part we all play and our priorities.  As you can see it is an exciting year ahead and myself and the staff look forward to working with you on our journey.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Ngā mihi nui,
